btrfs-progs software package provides Checksumming Copy on Write Filesystem utilities, you can install in your Ubuntu 17.04 (Zesty Zapus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install btrfs-progs
btrfs-progs is installed in your system.
Make ensure the btrfs-progs package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep btrfs-progs *
You will get with btrfs-progs package name, version, architecture and description in a table
